long exposure photography

I’ve been wanting to try one of these captures for a long time now and I don’t know why I haven’t to be honest, the bridge where I took these photos from is only round the corner from where I live. But anyway, I finally took my tripod and camera over to the bridge last night to get a long exposure shot of the traffic going through. This shot was the best one for me as it was left for 30 seconds and it created the nice star shapes around the lights. I had a lot of fun getting these shots and I’m definitely going to experiment with this as I haven’t really done much night time photography yet. I’ve had a play around this morning, editing them in different ways. I’ve also gone a bit further with some of them and flipped them symmetrically to create some arty shapes. I think they look quite cool and surreal.

So, Here is my gallery, enjoy! 🙂
